Best Surprise Ever!

Write about a time when your parents really surprised you. Did this event or situation seem out of character for your parents? Was this surprise a good one or a bad one? What was your reaction?

One day, about six years ago I saw an ad in the paper for blue-healer puppies. My family and I already had one dog, named Patch. He was getting old and he never wanted to play anymore. I kept asking and asking my parents if we could get one of those puppies, and I promised I would take care of her. My parents said that it was a big responsibility to look after a dog. They also said that we already had one dog, and it would be too much work to have two. For about two weeks I would ask my parents non-stop, day and night if I could please just get one of those puppies.
On February 11th I went to my friends house for her birthday. We had lots of fun, until it was time for me to go home. My dad came and picked me up, he told me there was a surprise at the house for me. All the way home, I kept asking what the surprise was, but he wouldn't tell me. I asked who it was from, and if it had came in the mail. My dad said that it came in the mail and it was from my aunty in Scotland. By this point I was getting really excited.
When we got home, I ran into the house as fast as possible to see what the surprise was. When I walked in the front door I saw my little brother, Alexander sitting with a little puppy on his knee. That's when I realized that my dad had went and gotten me one of those puppies that I wanted. I was ecstatic! Later on, my older brother had told me that when he had came in off the bus, he saw the puppy there. He said it was sitting very still and he thought it was a statue. My little brother named the puppy Spot, because he was very young and that was one of the only words he could say. The name Spot fit her very well because she was a blue-healer and she had spots all over her.
That night I went out into the porch to see Spot, I played with her for about half an hour. After that I sat down on the step and she sat on my knee and fell asleep. I sat on that step for approximately an hour while she was sleeping. My mom woke her up when she came to tell me it was time to get ready for bed.

This was one of the best surprises ever! I never thought that my parents would actually let me have one of those puppies. I was so happy that I couldn't even sleep that night!

Spot passed away about a month ago. I was very upset. I loved Spot so much! She will never be forgotten.

3 Minute Drill

The boy was enthralled with the presents underneath the Christmas tree. He had woken up super early that morning to finally be able to open his presents! He had waited so long for this day to come, the past month had felt like three years. He had tried to peek at his presents, but since his mom knew that he would probably be searching for them when she was at work, she had hidden them in a special hiding spot. One where he would never even think of. He still tried to look day in and day out. Still he found nothing! He thought they may have been under the bed, or even in the porch but he was dead wrong.

A couple days later he was getting really frusterated that he couldn't find a single thing until... a sizzling sound came out from the locked gun cabinent. He thought to himself,"What could possibly make that noise?" He peered into the cabinet and saw... Nothing.. It was just some kind of tool of his dad's. Day after day, he found nothing, so he thought maybe he hadn't gotten any. He was quite upset.

He went up to his parents and asked "Why didn't you guys get me any presents?"

They stared at each other and knew he had been searching for quite a while. His mother had said he would have to look much harder and not to worry because he got gifts. He was relieved, so he just stpped looking for them and waited until the day of Christmas.

That day finally came! He was so exciting, you could say he was jumping off the walls. He ran into his parents room to wake them up, but they weren't there. So he ran up stairs and was calling for them but no one answered. He was not to worry because he thought they may have went up town to maybe get some breakfast.

There was knocking on his door, so he answered. It was the police...
he answer the door carfully and the police man asked if his parents were there and he said no.
"why are you looking for them," he asked
the police man said yes and took him to the kitchen and he told the boy that they found his parents car in the lake but they do not know were his parents were.the man wanted to know if he had a place to stay.

The Perfect Gift

The air was bitter cold as I stepped tentatively on the treacherous, ice-covered sidewalk. I steadied myself in a clumsy, jerking motion. "I hope he appreciates this," I grumbled. I was shopping for the one gift he wanted and I needed to brave the blizzard in order to pick it up. Snow blinded me and I ducked my head as the heavy flakes pelted my winter hat. I opened the door to the old shop at the end of the street. I hadn't really noticed it before, but he had said what he wanted most was inside this dilapidated building. The bell on the door tinkled as I yanked it open. What I found inside was almost indescribable.

I slowly walked into the store and looked around. An elderly man approached me and said, "Excuse me ma'am, do you need any help?"
I answered with, "No, I'm just looking. Thanks." I kept walking, while trying to figure out what Joey would want from this store. Everything looked old and antique. I know I shouldn't be in here, I am way to clumsy. If I break anything I will definitely have to pay for it, and I don't have much money. Especially after I buy Joey his gift.
I was nearing the back of the store when I saw a little boy about seven or eight. He was looking at a telescope. That was when it hit me, I knew exactly what to get Joey! A telescope.
Joey has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. When we were little my mom always babysat him. Joey loved astronomy, and I just knew that this was the perfect gift.
I picked up one of the boxes sitting beside the example and went up to the front of the store where the same elderly man was wrapping some gifts for a few customers. Beside the man was a cashier. There was only about two people in line. I stood behind a woman with three kids. One of her kids looked as though she was eight, she was complaining to her mom that she was hungry and wanted to go eat at McDonalds. The younger child looked about four or five, and she was running around singing. The youngest of the three was a baby and was being carried by her mom, she was pulling her mom's hair, and whining.
I had waited in line for ten minutes when it was my turn. I put the box up on the counter, I hadn't seen a price tag on it, so I was hoping it wasn't too expensive. The cashier scanned it and told me it was going to be $105.93. I gasped, that was expensive. After a couple minutes I decided I would go ahead and buy it for him. He deserved it. This year his dad passed away from cancer, he has been through so much.
After I got Joey his gift, I left the store and went straight home. It was freezing cold out and I had forgotten my toque on my bed.
When I got home I found my six year old brother running around the house yelling, "Yay! Christmas is tomorrow!"
That was when I remembered that Joey and I were supposed to be exchanging gifts this evening. I decided to text and ask when and where he wanted to meet. It was already three o'clock on Christmas Eve and I still had a lot of wrapping to do. Joey finally replied to my text. He was coming over to my house in twenty minutes. I quickly ran down stairs and told my mom.
When Joey arrived we had some of my mom's famous chocolate chip cookies. They're delicious! When we were done,  we went to the living room and watched T.V. I went and got Joey's gift and he gave me mine. When he opened his present, the expression on his face was priceless. I opened mine too. Joey had gotten me a case for my laptop, a book and one of the movies I have wanted for so long!
Joey gave me a hug and told me it was exactly what he wanted. I knew it was the perfect gift.

3 Different Ways To Eat Your Food

Have you been eating your food the same way everyday ?

Well, if you want to try something different, now's your chance. Read on , and

I will give you some tips on how to twist up your eating style!

You can leave it out in the sun and it will most likely warm it up. Just sit it

outside while you go and collect berries or other things for desert.

Eating your food raw isn't the best idea but it's quick for those days you

completely forgot to make supper.

The last way, and the most common way is to cook your food over the fire

You can make your food nice and crispy or soft and chewy.

Hopefully this will help with all of those picky eaters out there.

Do's And Don'ts For Domesticating Animals

For all of you out there who are having troubles domesticating animals, I will give you a few tips.

                        Do's
-Capture the animals; they may get annoyed, however, over time they will get used to you.

-Comfort them; talk to them, over time they will get used to your voice.

-Feed them; give them treats every time they do something good or come closer to you.

                        Don'ts

- Don't make the animals toys, they will probably be scared of them .

- Don't imitate the animals; they will get offended and may charge you.

  • If everything above fails, sneak up on the animals, kill them, and eat 'em for supper.
If you try this, you may have better luck next time. Have fun!
